In-Game Ideas/Suggestions

Gameplay

  1. Alice to be put on trial with references from the book about the stolen tarts
    • Sentenced to death
    • Off with her head
    • Go run an errand first
    • Big regal event turns out to be a trial
    • Maybe a game of crochet
  2. World with procedurally generated exploration zones (Forests, mazes, ect) connect a fixed number of “puzzle rooms” or pre-defined set pieces. This would off Alice a chance to explore, discover, and fight in a larger sand box while also providing structure to the platform/puzzle and narrative element off the game.
    • Wait until after we have tech and budget
    • Maybe a nightmare level
    • Maybe a library
    • Maybe mining or collecting resources
  3. Library inspired level (Massive stacks of books, floating books, pages as platforms, ect)
  4. Inception within the library (Seeing recaps of yourself)
    • Could be a hint for what you’re supposed to do
    • Inception mechanic
    • Deathtime dress?
    • Maybe seeing shadow Alice ahead of you
    • Could see the rabbit ahead even though you’re holding him (Perhaps his pocket watch gives him the ability to move through time?)
  5. Shadow characters beyond just Alice
    • Could this pull away from the importance of Shadow Alice? Or could they act as Shadow Alice's minions?
    • Could explain the March Hare and Dormouse attacking Alice.
    • There are several “fake” white rabbits Alice follows, leading her away from the real Rabbit/Goal.
