The Plushie Dreadfuls Controversy Rabbit

What a bot attack looks like:

This is a screenshot from our Google Ads dashboard for a single day in September. It reports a conversion value of 719,999,999,999,999,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That’s not a typo, and it’s not customers. Google has confirmed to us that this is bot traffic. Other platforms have told us the same things are happening on their platforms, where shops named “Plushie Dreadfuls Controversy” are being pushed to anyone who watches a video about or searches for our brand.

TikTok also told us something else: the most effective counter has been our own explanations, the videos and blog posts laying out what actually happened. So we’re doing more of that, and we made a rabbit to convey that story.

We can’t out-shout a bot farm. But we can out-SEO one. This rabbit exists so that when someone looks up our “controversy,” they find the full story, in our words, stitched into a Plushie Dreadful. We’re taking the word back. And $1 of every sale goes to To Write Love on Her Arms, a nonprofit dedicated to hope and help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
