I have ptsd so I relate to this game so much I have ptsd along with sever mental illnesses disabilities originally called mental disturbances. American mcgees Alice about her battling survivor guilt really stuck with me and I plan on buying it somewhere. But I do have alice madness returns and I am living that story now in my epilogue. I can’t wait for this game to come out becus it was what I had to do for 29 years of my life having parents who didn’t love me and saw me only as the daughter of a murderer becus they deluded themselves into think he killed their precious daughter who technically is my older sister and my biological father is my older brother becus I was adopted by my dads traumatized dad and step mom it was my dads step moms daughter that died and my dad murdered the bastard who killed her her abusive bf. For 20 months exactly I was with my abusive fiancé who the corrupted cops say was my husband becus of South Carolina in the corrupted United States of American that everyone for got their history in’s law ancient law of common marriage when you live together and get mail together and becus my fiancé told everyone we was married by calling me his old women his girl now no one will come and help me…. Alice madness returns has helped me so much during my life where I was abused and used and made to beg ask permission and live on me knees but my story has over and I’m living my happily ever after and I am exactly like the alice in alice madness returns a vengeful ghost with a heart beat making everyone pay for abandoned me and turning their backs on me when I need them the most. I am haunting everyone and I am alone with my son near and I am finally happy. First of all, I'm french and english isn't my native language. I apologize in advance for the few mistakes you will read in this message.

I've read the "An audience with the queen (of anger) post on patreon, and wrote a scenario who could be used to create something.

As she arrive in the Queen of Hearts (QoH) domain, Alice see a battle between Chess Soldiers (CS) and Queen's Soldiers (QS). The situation is desesperate, but Alice gathers together some isolated CS, use them successfully for defeat the rest of the QS, and saves the day.

The Knave of Hearts (KoH) has been captured and is helds in hostage by the CP since several battle. He claims that he now realize how destructive were the QoH's actions, that he didn't knew everything about the destruction caused by the QoH, and wants to help CS. They don't trust him, but Alice, now realizing her denial was a bad thing, persuade them to take action even more. She vouch for the KoH, and the CS places here as a general, for her victory before. Alice is already quite angry toward the QoH, and against herself for having been in denial.

The troup, constitued by the CS, Alice and the Knave, are moving towards the QoH domain. The KoH act as a counsellor for Alice, and helps her to win some short battles by exploiting breaches and the maze, so they can surrounder and cut off retrait to QS, and maybe destroy some parts of the machine or some of her alimentation source.

Exhilirated by the victory, and with the satisfaction of an anger who can flow toward ennemies, Alice trusts the KoH more and more. Then, the KoH will give bad advices, in order to lead to victories who will necessite huge sacrifices. The player must tell himself "There is no sense, it's useless, we could act different and better, I see that". It's always victory, but Alice is losing something, some pieces, some chess pieces, some CS.

After one of these battle, the CS starts to discuss Alice actions, and KoH strategy. Alice will make a military speach : "remember why you are fighting, we must act, be brave, it's for the Wonderland, think about the sacrifice we already made and who'll be useless if we give up now" etc. It works only until the end of the next battle who's also catastrophic.

Alice will then redirect her anger toward the CS. She will act with cruelly by physically hurting a CS already hitten, insulting him of "incompetent" and "idiot" for having been hurted despite of a briliant military plan who leads them to victory. When she'll see the CS are less and less, she will enrage and stabs an already dead corpse. She will make another speach, far more violent, insulting the army for being "coward", "a bunch of traitor", "ungrateful toward me, who leaded you to victories you coundn't had dreamed alone".

Starting that, it will be possible to hurt QS and CS indistinctively in battle.

An assassination attempt will be commited, from some CS toward the KoH. Alice will enrage, her vision will be blured, and the CS will take the apparence of QS, because nothing differ CS of QS for her anymore. The logic is "The KoH is an ally who help me to reach my goal, they tried to murder him, so they are ennemies".

Once the CS defeated of running away, the KoH will reveal his plan, guarded by fresh QS who just arrived. He thinks Alice will be in distress after realizing how easily she was fooled. But of course, the anger is the main emotion, so Alice turned into a raging beast even more and so a new battle starts, easily won.

We must distill some clues of the KoH's betrayal all along. One of them could be the following sentence : "Tell the Queen this masquerade will soon be over !", to QS running away from an early battle. Everyone shall tell "The masquerade is the violence of the QoH, and what she hidden to him". But it will his own masquerade toward Alice and the CS.

  • 0. Guilt - it was made when the name of Inferno dress wasn't decided yet and it was called Guilt. I see it as emotion that triggers Alice's survivor syndrom.
  • 1. Shock - being cold, stuck and surrounded by dangerous environment.
  • 2. Denial - Alice can't see but I guess she can smell the smoke.
  • 3. Anger - homage to Hysteria mode, black and white perceiving of the world.
  • 4. Bargaining - clinging to memories.
  • 5. Depression - all the colors are sucked out of the world, everything tastes like dust and ash.
  • 6. Testing - becoming a force of nature, hence the storm.
  • 7. Acceptance - getting into the eye of the storm, finding peace and balance through befriending your inner monsters.
  • 8. Slumber - the dreams are sweet but the darkness is reaching out to her.

With this dress Alice would not be able to jump and the Depression stage could be a descent, symbolizing that there is no way back to what once was, so I think that this dress could be a little bulkier or something that makes one think: Heavy, like a Heavy Rain that washes all away or something like that.

CommentStreams:849012086e089cdef3359a3d81a01e50 Harvest Dress Opinion based on Design Discussions 5 and 6 According to what has been discussed before I understood that there were two Alices in this game, Child Alice and Shadow Alice, the latter being the one that goes to AMA and AMR. Based on this I thought the Harvest Dress would be one of the power modes that Shadow Alice can access and that it will be playable at the end of the game, I had the conception that Child Alice wearing the Blue Knight armor and being bestowed with the Vorpal Blade went to fight the Jabberwocky but was utterly defeated, then Shadow Alice, who has been an enemy before, comes and rescues Child Alice but then drags her to a pond in the Dark Side of the Moon or something, at this point the player has to accept that Child Alice is not able to win and has to stop struggling to get out of Shadow Alice's grasp (Any input on the controller would stop the dragging effectively putting both Alices in a state of stagnation) and let Shadow trap Child in the Pond (Later this would be the source of the ruin), after ALL OF THIS, the player would take control of Shadow Alice who's usual dress is the Ash Dress and Harvest comes out when her Chaos/Rage/Patience is filled up. CommentStreams:353a26850b8def88b74ff16477c34f4d Community Ideas/Suggestions Toy Shop and Merchant On the 3/6/19 (or 3/7/19, depending on time zone) live stream, Alice_on_Elm_Street suggested that Alice's toy weapons could be upgraded at a toy shop. Building on this suggestion, perhaps Bumby/Dollmaker could be the merchant who runs the shop. For players who have been through "AMR" they would recognize who this is, but to a younger Alice she would be unawares of who this nefarious person is and only see them as the kindly gent who likes children's toys and upgrades them for her, adding a link between games without making it too obvious but still working within the established history and characteristics of everyone involved.   • Throw the Vorpal knife to kill the ruin and young Alice resulting in older Alice forgetting her childhood so she can move on with life.
  • Stabbing older Alice would cause the ruin to jump from younger Alice into the Vorpal knife that older Alice carries shattering it and older Alice's mind along with it leaving her nothing except the memories of her younger self.

EndNote: The entire Asylum game takes place inside the mind of young Alice during the events of American McGee's Alice.

In AMA and AMR, the dresses are a symbol of accomplishment. "You made it to the next stage! Here take this!" type of ideals. Every dress has an ability or perk that is sometimes essential in new stages. It's always been like this. To me it feels like her way of tracking her mental progress and assigning the proper tools to deal with the current situation.

When you're insane and in extreme darkness, you hold onto moments. You can't ever let go of those moments. For the Blue Dress to have outlasted the sway of time and events as "Thee Alice Dress", It either had to be the first step of an important cycle, the only good thing she had to hold on to for a very long period, or a totem that reminds the person of their core beliefs.

Saying that it could just be another unlockable dress or she wore it cuz the color reminded her of her sister is very wrong to me. It needs to be introduced as a grand gesture, a symbol of something greater than anything thus far. The very thing that started her on her journey to get out of the madness.

It can't be about someone she lost in the fire cuz when a crazy person experiences violent loss, Anything that reminds them of the loss tends to Trigger episodes even when they're in the denial phase. No one can make progress if they're always stuck in an episode. That concept can't apply to Alice cuz even though you could say wonderland is an episode, she's always actively working to get through it.

I have ideas of how to make the dress such an object, but I need some info on the direction of the story.

Being that she'll be 13 in this game, That's roughly 6 years after the fire, and 5 years into being at the asylum. In AMA, we see Alice wearing the dress as she lay in the bed at the beginning, throughout the game, and at the end when she's leaving the asylum.

>At this point if we wanted it to be a first step or her very first dress in the cycle, it should have already been one for awhile. Basically meaning she would already need to have it given that she gets new dresses in this game. However, if she already had the dress prior to being 13, I would venture to say that it wouldn't fit her at 18 years old when we see her wearing it in AMA. So I'm at an impasse there. The only way to make it work would be her getting the dress at the literal beginning of this game.

It's not like she can just leave the Asylum and go shopping. The dress is going to have to be there already and given to her in some way.

We have to remember that the Blue Dress is real, where as all the other dresses are manifestations of her mind. Therefore we have to find a Real way to get it to her in the first place.

I know what some are thinking, if it's real can't we just give it to her? Why does it have to have a documented entrance? The answer: Cuz if it didn't it could have been traded out for other clothing at any time. It wouldn't be the One and Only Blue Dress, it would just be her clothes. It had to mean something in the beginning to give it the future reputation that it has now.
