Mercury Steam developing next Clive Barker game

Great news today from Codemasters and Mercury Steam:

Clive Barker returns to gaming
Today, Codemasters announced that master of horror Clive Barker will be returning to video games when Clive Barker’s Jericho ships for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in late 2007. …Jericho is being developed by Mercury Steam, who last worked on Scrapland.

The Mercury Steam guys really deserved, and more importantly, earned the right to work on such a great project. Their vision and exectution on Scrapland made it clear to me that they are one of the best game developers in the world. And I think the new Barker game will give them a chance to show that to the world.

Definitely a project to keep an eye on.

  1. Sounds awesome.

And the new layout is awesome dude. Much better than the last one. Don’t change it.

  2. If it will be as good (dark, twisted, spooky) as Clive Barker’s Undying was, I look forward to it. Good news in either way though.

  3. Whoa, EA was at its best when it did publish the American mcgee’s Alice, and Undying. Now Clive returns to the gaming industry, bringing his crazy ideas for people to experience in the games.

I know 2 people having different ideas = a serious fight. Like take Tabula Rasa project that Civilisations maker had. But you two crazy minds should sometimes try to combine them, and use them for making a game!
